Common questions
Money, Quotes and Offers
Is the quote really free?
Yes. There's no charge for us to come out, assess the job and give you a number, and you decide from there whether to go ahead.
Why isn't the lowest price your main focus?
Because the lowest quote on paper often isn't the lowest cost once callbacks and shortcuts get factored in. We focus on a fair, fixed price for work that's done properly the first time, backed by a lifetime labour warranty.
What does the $65 off your first service cover?
It's a straight discount on your first job with us, any of the seven services we offer. Say so on the call and it's applied automatically.
How does your upfront fixed pricing work?
We look at the job, tell you the number, and that's what you pay. No hourly rate, no surprise extras once we've started, and nothing added without you agreeing to it first.
Common questions
Licensed, Insured and Done Properly
Are your plumbers qualified to work on gas?
Our gas fitters are, specifically. Not every plumber holds that additional licensing, so gas leak calls always go to someone properly qualified for it, never a general plumber having a guess.
Can you check my licence number?
Yes, we're licensed under Lic #465156C, and you can verify that yourself any time at verify.licence.nsw.gov.au. We're happy to have it checked before or after a job.
Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?
As a general rule, your fixtures through to the property boundary are your responsibility. Once it's further out in the actual Sydney Water main, that's theirs, and we'll say plainly which one applies once we've had a look.
What is your lifetime labour warranty?
It's a written guarantee on the labour for every job, covering the repair for as long as it stays in place. That applies across all seven services, not a select few.
Common questions
Response, Timing and Booking
What happens after I call?
A real person takes the details of what's going on, then we get a licensed plumber heading your way. On site, the fault gets diagnosed properly and you're given a number to approve before anything starts.
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Water actively flooding, no hot water across the whole property, a blocked drain backing up into the house, or any suspected gas leak. If you're unsure, call anyway and we'll be straight with you about whether it can wait.
How fast can you get here?
Same day is the aim wherever the job allows it, and we won't promise a timeframe we genuinely can't hit.
How do I book?
Call (02) 9139 9963 directly for the fastest response, or use the callback form on our contact page if you'd rather we ring you.
Common questions
The Northbridge Questions
What suburbs do you service around Northbridge?
Northbridge itself plus the neighbouring suburbs on our regular run. If you're near Northbridge Plaza or further out toward the water, chances are we cover it, so ask when you call.
Why do Northbridge's older homes get plumbing emergencies?
A lot of the housing here dates to the Federation era, built not long after the Long Gully Bridge opened the peninsula up. Original pipework and hot water systems from that period are well past the age where sudden failure becomes likely.
Do you cover the suburbs next to Northbridge?
Yes, Cammeray, Willoughby, Naremburn and Cremorne are all part of our regular coverage, along with Crows Nest further along.
Do you handle strata and units in Northbridge?
Yes. There's a pocket of apartments near the Plaza alongside the detached housing, and shared systems like hot water risers get the same careful diagnosis as a single dwelling.
